How do I get GenieMini?

There could be a number of reasons why you can't download GenieMini. These include your company's IT security settings and local settings on your computer.

How does the Hotline work?
|

Before you can email hotline enquires in to AbleOwl, you need to purchase hotline minutes. If you have purchased any of our other products, you may have received complimentary hotline minutes.
Hotline support is requested via email, as you will often need to attach a workbook example or include a screenshot in order to fully explain your request.
With the GenieMini add-in attached to Excel (instructions here), choose GenieOnline | Hotline to open the AbleOwl Excel GenieMini hotline dialog box.
Select the Create hotline message tab to start entering your hotline request. Enter a Subject, Body and attach any files as necessary.
Choose Send if you have direct internet access. Select Via email and then choose Send if you don't have direct internet access.
Once we receive your hotline request, AbleOwl will process the request and email a reply within 24 hours maximum, though most hotlines are replied to within one or two hours.
The AbleOwl Excel GenieMini hotline dialog box also keeps a Tracking log of all your current and past hotline requests.

Will the workbooks I create using GenieMini work on computers that don't have GenieMini?
|

Yes they will. GenieMini creates content using standard Excel tools so it is not necessary for someone to have GenieMini installed in order to view workbooks created with the help of GenieMini's tools.
Some GenieMini components do add macros to a workbook. If macros have been disabled in a user's copy of Excel, any macros added by GenieMini won't run.
In order for these macros to work, the user will need to change their Excel options to allow macros to run.
